Benedict’s reagent (often called Benedict’s qualitative solution or Benedict’s solution) is a chemical reagent and complex mixture of sodium carbonate, sodium citrate, and copper sulfate pentahydrate. It is often used in place of Fehling’s solution to detect the presence of reducing sugars. The presence of other reducing substances also gives a positive result.Such tests that use this reagent are called the Benedict’s tests. A positive test with Benedict’s reagent is shown by a color change from clear blue to brick-red with a precipitate

Aluminum Hydroxide
0 out of 5(0)Aluminum hydroxide, Al(OH)3, is found in nature as the mineral gibbsite (also known as hydrargillite) and its three much rarer polymorphs:bayerite, doyleite, and nordstrandite. Aluminium hydroxide is amphoteric, i.e., it has both basic and acidic properties. Closely related are aluminium oxide hydroxide, AlO(OH), and aluminium oxide or alumina (Al2O3), the latter of which is also amphoteric. These compounds together are the major components of the aluminium ore bauxite. Aluminium hydroxide also forms a gelatinous precipitate in water.
